All parking in the centre of Muswell Hill is chargeable for the whole day. This used to be an area full of unique independent small retailers and other businesses, but it is noticeable how many shops are now empty or populated by charities. The meter charge is an extremely expensive 5p per minute and it definitely puts people off shopping in our area. And the parking restictions have nothing to do with the flow of traffic as Muswell Hill Broadway is more than wide enough for the traffic to pass even if there are parked cars on either side.
