I tried to use a solar powered meter as it was the closest to my parking place in Abbeville Road. The meter happily ate £4 of my cash without giving a me a ticket. I phoned the number on the meter to report faults and got an automated message, no person to speak to, telling me to go to the website. I did this and reported the fault and never received any reply despite trying a couple of times. No wonder the london boroughs are so rich from parking charges.
