We have service work on gate automation throughout London and being based in Suffolk, we hve have great difficulties in parking often having 3-5 address to visit in the same day. often we are looking at leaving at 5am and retuning any time between 10 and 11.30pm. We have now been looking at using public transport in order to carry out the work. it will involve travelling to the outskirts of london, parking up and catching a train with heavy bags. it will take 2 engineers to carry equipment to carryout servicing. useing trains, taxis or walking from stations to premises of work. Our main concerns are the cost eliment applied to each customer. Our calculations show our costs will now increase between 250/350%. We have experienced journies between customers what would in normal times take 15 to 20 minutes taking as mush as 70 to 80 minutes. if we are attending offices normally they do not need you there after 6.30pm and there are times when it has not been possible get to all customers in the same day.

This is now getting very frustrating, and we would not like to loose our customer base in London.

It is very doubtful if there is going to be any changes, and the main winners are the Boroughs of London who steping up and issuing parking tickets, for as little as 2 minutes over time.

I thought I would just like to see how companies are faced when having to travel in to London for work.
